Bharat Dynamics Ltd is setting up a greenfield plant in Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. The company has signed an MoU with Uttar Pradesh state government to acquire 215 acres of land. The new plant will produce propulsion system which will be used for various types of missiles. The project is likely to go operational by 2023. It may be noted that, the company is already setting up new facilities in Ibrahimpatinam and Amaravati. It is collaborating with international majors like Naval Group, France; Rafael Advanced Defence System Ltd, Israel; Thales, UK; STE “SPETSTECHNOEXPORT”, Ukraine; MBDA, France/UK for technical tie ups.
