North Central Railway is redeveloping the Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi railway station in Jhansi division in Uttar Pradesh. In January 2024, the railways has invited bids to develop the same. The scope comprises design, detailed engineering, surveys (pre-engineering, pre-construction and post-construction), procurement, fabrication, transportation, construction including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire fighting and other related services, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handing over.
The work is to be carried out at an estimated cost of ₹ 441.71 crore, with a completion set at 42 months.
