NTPC to set up 140 MW solar power plant in Bilhaur

NTPC is setting up a 140 MW solar power plant at Bilhaur in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The company has awarded the EPC contract to Vikaram Solar to implement the project. The solar plant will be spread across 700 acres allotted for the project and is likely to go operational by 2020. It may be noted that, NTPC has invited tenders to implement the project and Vikram Solar has emerged as successful bidder for the project.
