Uttar Pradesh government commissions Gorakhpur Link Expressway

Uttar Pradesh government has commissioned 91-km long Gorakhpur Link Expressway which inks Gorakhpur and the Purvanchal Expressway and also the Bundelkhand Expressway while crisscrossing through Jhansi, Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah districts.

The project cost is estimated at ₹ 55,000 million. The state government has set strict deadline of December 2021 to finish work on two of its ambitious infrastructure projects: the Bundelkhand Expressway and the Poorvanchal Expressway. UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), the nodal agency for the two projects, said that more than 96 per cent of the 4,332 hectares needed for the Purvanchal Expressway has been acquired.
