Noida plans 5 MW of rooftop solar power plants

New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) is planning to develop 5 MW of rooftop solar projects in Noida region. The authority has invited bids to commission rooftop solar power plant with capacity ranging between 500 kW and 5 MW on buildings across the city. The project cost is estimate at ₹215 million.

The tender stated that the rates quoted by the contractors must be within Noida’s maximum allowed levelized tariff of ₹3.91 (~$0.05)/kW and that any bids that exceed the limit would be rejected.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the projects and handling its operation and maintenance for 25 years. The work on the project is expected to be completed in 12 months.
