Uttar Pradesh government is planning to set up a government medical college in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. In May 2021, the public works department of Uttar Pradesh has invited bids to design, engineering, procurement contract at a cost of ₹ 248.05 crore.
Once, the contract work has been awarded the project will be completed within a period of 18 months. The medical college will be attached to district referral hospital of Amethi.
